    Hello,

Just recently i opened my laptop up and got it out of sleep, i opened up the game world of warcraft :p , and as i was logging in, it froze and made loud noises constantly :( so i turned it off right away, and tried to reboot a few min later but no dice. when i push the power button the power led comes on as well as the upper keyboard leds, the caps lock led flashes, idk if that means anything, but nothing from there, screen is blank and no hard drive seems to be spooling. The power brick led remains on when i plus it into the laptop and i have tried it without battery, ram, HD, and such but it won't start.

I'm guessing its a fried component somewhere, but any advice is appreciated.
    Thank you

It sounds like the display or gpu are messed up.I think you should call up dell and see if the warranty covers your problem.

how many years warranty do you have? if the laptop is under 5 years old you can extend it. when my inspiron died dell offered to sell me an extended warranty because it would be cheaper than buying replacement parts lol. (this was out of warranty)

DAMN! same problem more less... i spent a week in mountains camping, then come back, switch PC on, and after a while using it, it freezes and starts making some HORRIBLE noise, i push off button, try to turn it on but it doesnt shows a thing on the screen (though it makes noises as if it were booting), whenever i turned on the keyboard light and the hard drive light turned on, but nothing was shown on screen, then i remove battery and use just AC/DC, screen shows something PHEW THANX GOD...

Okay, i wouldnt've worried more but... it keeps doing that.. PC Freezes, starts making some loud noise, then when i reboot the screen shows nothing, after a few reboots and a few freezes more, it works again as smooth as if nothing had happened, but from time to time i lose all the job i'm done at the moment because of computer freezing...

Im kinda scared one day it wont show screen ever again... what can i do?
