Vostro 1500 Sudden Death???

I've been using it for over a year and it's been absolutely great, this evening I went to plug it in for a charge and it seemed to short out the entire computer...I am now unable to turn it on nor do any of the LED lights blink on the side to show activity or a charge going through.

Anyone have any ideas what happened here and how I can remedy it?
