Intel Core 2 Duo T5470, Intel integrated GPU

Recently, the temperature of the cores is running high at around 66 after about 45 minutes of playing online card games. Nothing graphics intensive. The fan has also begun to run loud.

The user used to be able to play games for hours and not have this issue.

The left bottom of the case also becomes extremely warm.

Not sure what is causing it. I removed any non essential programs running in the background.

I thoroughly cleaned all the fan vents.

That's not too horrible, it's a Merom Core 2 Duo. Did you try repasting it? My T5470 was completely dry when I changed to a T7500.

That probably is the issue. It is a lot of work to get to the heat sink to repaste.

I am going to have to find someone to do it at little cost.
The owner of the machine isn't tech savy.
