    Hello guys,
    im new to the forum,
i am going to buy a new motherboard without intergrated video card for my vostro 1500 cause i got my old one burned... anyway, i saw a really cheap vostro 1700 motherboard on ebay. I was wondering if it can fit into my 1500 case because basically its the same one as in 1500. I need a fast answer. Thank you in advance. BB :)

I have a new Vostro 1500, and need to know if I can use a 90 watt power adapter.

Also, this message keeps popping up..."The instruction at Ox77c2a61d: referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memory could not be "written". Click on OK to terminate the program.

I have clicked on "OK" several times...the message comes up very often though. Thanks for your help...

Looking at the following two links, they look extremely similar to me.

I had adapted Vostro 1700 graphics card for my Vostro 1500 by swapping the heatsinks. I will not be suprised if you find the motherboards compatible as well. I think there is a good chance but I am not aware of anyone who have tried this. You are leading the pack and will be taking the risk.

Keep the cables of Vostro 1500, it seems that you will need them. Please post back the result. If you succeed you will have a Vostro 1500 which thinks it is a 1700 due to the BIOS on the mainboard. Best of luck !!!
