    Hi All

I have recently re-installed my windows. i had installed all the drivers and now i am getting an error while starting my bluetooth device.

I thought might be the driver is old, hence i downloaded the latest driver from dell directly and then tried still no joy.

Checked the bios and could see that the bluetooth is enabled.

when i chkd in the device manager i can see that the blutooth module is marked as unknown

Please help me in resolving this issue.

@tinselworm - i have tried installing the SM Bus driver , but no joy.

i have loaded the xp that was not given by DEll folks , bcoz when i loaded that one i was getting DEP issue and once fixing that when i installed antivirus it cleaned up all the system files.

I guess the bluetooth driver license key is encrypted in the original OS given by DELL. I guess the only option is to find out the driver for the bluetooth module from the manufaturer.

    Any pointers in this regard

my bluetooth module is a 355 dell bluetooth module. the company is broadcom
