Vostro 1500 has weird graphical errors

    I would put the pressure on Dell to make a warranty replacement since the 8400M GS is among the GPUs prone to failure. Different cooling configurations will just affect the time until failure but the product itself is inherently flawed from birth. "Latent defect" is the technical term.

    There's a lot of people out there with these potentially defective GPUs that are waiting to die. Fortunately, I'm not one of them. However, my E6400 suffers from an over-active fan because an nVidia GPU is one of the options.
