I was just wondering what your temps were. My Full load seems to be too high, almost hitting 100 before being underclocked back to 2000.

    CPU : T7700 2.4ghz
    RAM : 4GB DDR677
    VISTA ULTIMATE 32-BIT SP1
    8600m GT 256MB

    1st pic : Idle /w fan on : 38c
    2nd pic : Idle w/o fan : 41c
    3rd pic : Full Load / Power Saver Mode : 60c
    4th pic : Full Load / High Performance : 99c
The temps are from hwmonitor, if you can see them

i apologize for the picture quality, i thought i had to lower quality for a total 500kb.

nope, i turn off all power saving modes and stuff as i am almost always plugged in

pretty sure the cpu itself has it's own power saving and stay cool functions and whatnot

read about it somewhere...but i remember only so much of the mass quantity's of info that comes in LOL

well, i forgot about this thread, but just for an update.

i opened up my laptop and removed the thermal grease on the cpu and added on some Artic silver 5.

it was all gooped up and all around the place, error on the dell's part.

    anyway,

my T7700 used to run at 90+c but gets underclocked to prevent it from burning.

my T7700 now runs at 80c high with the same low, since it was only pipe cooling.

for anybody who wants to take a crack at opening up the vostro1500 and for my future reference.
