I just reformatted my laptop and used the OS CD and Drivers CD.
Only one problem...I extracted audio driver "Sigmatel STAC92XX C-Major HD Audio Driver" into my laptop....is it gonna do any harm???
usually your driver CD that came with your laptop will have check marks for drivers needed. On my Audio, it did not have a check mark.
I just re-read my order and what specifications it came with and what audio.
part number 313-4783 Integrated High Definition Audio 2.0
came with it. Was I okay extracting Sigmatel?

Yes sigmatel is the proper audio driver. Dell checks only the neccesary drivers.. hence audio isnt neccessary
