So I have a Vostro 1500, about a year old.
I installed fraps to record some video of my certain games.
Unfortunately installing fraps will disable your microphone until you unplug and replug... And then it can still go out at any moment. I had to delete fraps and reinstall my sound drivers to fix everything. Anyone else have this issue and any way to resolve this issue and still be able to use fraps?

Never had this issue. Which OS you running?

P.S. always a good idea to provide all system specs when resolving hardware/software issues.

Once upon a time, that wasn't the easiest/safest question to answer. fortunately it's VERY easy. you actually download the executable and it takes care of everything itself.

To be on the safe side, I would close down ALL programs, and then run the executable. It will automatically reboot your machine and flash the BIOS for you...no more floppies and fears of bricking your machine =)

    Good lucks!
