Go to your device manager. Is there an exclamation mark next to the graphics card?
Also, make sure that your color is set to 32bit under display settings.

I have problem with my LCD (glossy type 1440 x 900). after 1 year without any problem (11 m 15 days) my LCD started to blank without any respond but the system still working corectly (i connect my system to external LCD to check). After that i complain to dell and they give me back up with lower resolution 1280x... and it's running good without any problem.
After 1 weeks my LCD replacement is arrived and they replaced the back up LCD and it's good for first hour and after i restated the unit and change the start up resolution in bios after that the LCD become blank again :( is there any one have problem like me??

    Btw my system is:
    Vostro 1400 (T7300 2 GHz 800 MHz)
    Ram 2 G
    LCD glossy type
    Nvidia GS 8400 GS
