    Hi,

I recently upgraded to Windows 7 on my Dell Vostro 1400 notebook. Most of the drivers work, and the webcam found the drivers automatically, however when trying to launch the webcam, it was not functional. I tried installing the webcam drivers off the Dell website (R165116), but the webcam still doesnt work. It is the Creative Technology Integrated Laptop WebCam 2.0 Megapixel w/ built in microphone.

Has anyone else run into the situation or found a solution to that issue?
I hope i posted this question in the right place.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't have my Vostro 1400 handy so can't be specific with drivers in place, but I didn't experienced any issues with my webcam under Win7 (running RC 71XX). As far as I remember, I didn't changed anything with regards to the webcam from the Win7 original drivers. Sound was a bit trickier but there's a tread somewhere explaining how to do it and it worked for me. Sorry, I can't help you on this one!
PS: use the webcam solely with Skype; can't tell if there's an issue with other software.
