Hi everybody! I'm trying to connect my Vostro 1400 laptop to my television. I bought this adapter off EBAY:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=120397073916\

AFter I bought the adapter, I connected the line from my laptop to my TV but the screen didn't show up. I clicked on the Auxiliary Input for my remote but nothing showed up. Can anybody help me with this?

By the way, I have a Nvidia Geforce 8400 on here.

    Thanks in advance!

I presume its the same as the 1500, once connected press and hold 'fn' and then 'f8' you should see a little box come up with pictures, while holding down fn press f8 until you get a pic of the laptop and the tv.
Once you have done that you should be rocking.

If that doesn't work another way you can try is, and this is with XP not sure about Vista if your using it. Right click on desktop - properties - settings - you should see a a grey box with two smaller boxes inside it, click the smaller box/2 then click 'extend my windows desktop to this monitor' then apply, ok.

You may have to setup your display settings to use the second display.
