Vostro 1400 getting replaced under warranty, what will I get?

    After many issues with my Vostro 1400 (sound hiss/skipping/screen/heat issues) Dell has agreed to send me a replacement system.

    The 2 CS reps i spoke with over Dell chat have told me I'll either get the same system or better.

    The one rep told me that the new laptop will be a new unit.

    I'm curious to see what I end up with, as the Vostro 1400 was phased out a while ago.

    Hopefully they'll send me a 1310 or 1510.

    And i'm ALMOST hoping it doesn't come with an NVIDIA card... so I don't have to deal with that again.

    So what does everyone think I'll end up with?

    You will probably still get a vostro 1400. They should still have refurbs left.

    Honestly, the laptop is a tad bit thinner than the 1400, and actually weighs less too.

    While the keyboard isn't as nice as the 1400, overall I'm EXTREMELY satisfied with my replacement.
