vostro 1400 brightness problem

    after waking the laptop from sleep, i can not adjust the brightness. is this normal or am i the only one with this problem?

    I've never had that problem on my 1400 in Vista nor XP.

    The only time I can't adjust brightness is in particular stages of booting.
