I've noticed the M6400 has 3 vents at the bottom cover, the air is being forced OUT or IN the vents ?, I am asking because I will be using the M6400 on top of a Notebook Cooler, and the cooler pushes the air OUT, thanks

The bottom is normally used to pull air into the laptop, whilst the sides would be used to expel air out.

The bottom vents are for inlet, the back vents are outlets, if you plan to use a cooler sucking air below the notebook, you will overheat the notebook, because, the cooler and the notebook fans (two fans) will be fighting for air in between them.

Actually when I said "cooler pushes air out", I meant out from the cooler, meaning into the bottom of the notebook, so it should be fine, I guess ??

I've had the bottom cover open on mine. The fans under the vents are radial fans like on newer video cards. They pull air into the fan and blow it out sideways, channeling it with plastic so it goes through the fins on the processor and video card and out the back of the case. (Also, that helps them stay quieter while still moving air.)

There are two of them I believe, one on each back corner of the laptop. I don't remember seeing any fan in the middle but I only had it open briefly to check on the second drive bay. I think the RAM is under the other vent, so it serves as an extra inlet if the other intakes are blocked.
