    hey

i have a problem! i just got my new M4400 and changed my HDD to a new one, tried to install windows vista completly new, loaded all the drivers, etc. but it seems that the system is much slower as it was when i got it (i probably did something wrong during the driver installation, i don't really know). it needs 1:30 mins to boot and almost 20 seconds to shut down (and that after a clean windows install...there must be something wrong)!

now i want to reset vista on my new HDD to the version when i got it via my recovery partition which is still on my old HDD and i use as external hard disk!
is that even possible to use the recovery partition from an external hard disk to do what i want to do? if yes, what do i have to do?!

i hope you understand what i mean and can help me! would be awesome to finally get my system smoothly running, after almost a week :D

    thanks in advance!!
