    Hey guys,

First of all, I'm assuming that the Vostro 1500 does support both processors, but do I need a BIOS update? I have the very original BIOS, version A01 I believe. I got my lappy about a year and two months ago.

Has anyone updated their processor since initial purchase? I have a Santa Rosa Merom T5470 CPU, and it's 1.6Ghz speed is starting to show its age... I'm thinking of upgrading, and from what I've read, the T9300 seems to give the most bang for the buck, but the T8100 isn't so shabby either, and still being one of the cheapest C2D processors on the market currently.

Anyways, if anyone has any info about having to upgrade BIOS, etc... sharing them is greatly appreciated =D.

EDIT: Oh yeah, another thing, how hard is it to swap the processor on a Vostro 1500?
