Hi, Guys! Sorry for creating a new thread, but I wasn't able to find answers anywhere else (I really tried :))

I'm thinking about buying M6600 with i7-2670QM and AMD FirePro M8900. Which has the great price at the moment. I'm not using laptop for graphic intense software. I just like to have nice and quality notebook, however I do play games occasionally.

Will I be able to swap AMD FirePro M8900 to Nvidia GTX 680M or Nvidia GTX 675MX in the future?
    Will it support optimus?

Battery lifetime is very important for me. Maybe I should go with Quadro 3000M instead. I really don't want to to spend $350 on a video card which performs worse in games, but if that what it takes to increase battery life so be it.

    Thank you for your help!

Thank you for you answer, iieeann. I will buy M6600 with i7-2670qm and AMD M8900 and later upgrade it to GTX680M in that case.

Forget the 680M, you can get a Radeon 7970M which is within margin of error on benchmarks and games versus the 680M for almost half the cost ;)

No thank you. I already had Clevo P150EM with 7970M and it was a nightmare.
I do need Optimus and I also like to play games on the highest settings possible. You might think I don't need it, but I want it that's for sure.

Are you buying used M6600 or new one? (most likely used). If new one better get nvidia GPU for heatsink's sake.
Not sure if Dell at your place will sell you the heatsink for nvidia if you do not own nvidia GPU. In my case they didn't ask.

Highest setting...? don't over estimate 680m, it is not as powerful as you think. 2yr old game still cannot max out for very smooth play.

AMD 8800M series is officially annouced. 8900M donno when...
