I Have this old Thin 64GB uSATA SSD I took from a broken Dell E4200 computer that I planned to use just for my system partition.

I was fiddling with it after purchasing a uSATA to SATA adapter over ebayhttp://www.ebay.es/itm/371430037863?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

So, the thing works and I can see it and use it BUT, checking wether it had TRIM or not, I discovered it actually doesn't.

There is some update at the dell download page for upgrading the firmware, which might enable TRIM, but I'm unable to apply it: I created a freedos bootable USB and launched their utility, but the disk is not detected at all by the Samsung update utility.

Is there any other way to update this disk's firmware? Perhaps a samsung page with a list of download links?

The full model number is: MMCRE64GTMPP - MVAD1

And the model tag says: This 64GB uSATA MLC

    Thanks!
