    I've bought an used dell e5440 but the bios is locked by a password and the shop who sell it don't know it.

    There's a way to reset the password ?

    i've try with...

    turn off the laptop , remove ac adaptor cable , remove battery

    then remove the bios battery , reconnect the battery , wait 10 minutes and then re-install the bios battery , turn on but nothing changed
