    Hey there -

Got my Precision 5510 a few weeks ago, but I keep getting BSOD errors for "Unexpected Store Exception".

The computer actually freezes at 0% of "collecting information" so there never is any .DMP file for me to troubleshoot.

This happens every couple of days or so. It can happen in just normal use, but also seems to be exacerbated when doing video-heavy rendering with Adobe Premiere.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Also, to clarify, all of my drivers are indeed updated from the Dell site.

Did you find a solution to this issue? I'm having the same issues. I'm about ready to return it.

Posting here for posterity, I already responded to you on Dell forums.

Well, it's been a mixed bag. By installing Samsung NVMe drives, I have been able to prevent BSOD. However, my machine continues to have the bootup "HD not found" error and has actually developed even more serious problems after this with waking up from sleep as well as recognizing the keyboard. Completely unacceptable.

Dell recently replaced my system with a new one. I am debating weather or not to re-install Windows with an AHCI setup. The NVMe drive clearly works faster on my AHCI laptop by about 250 mb/s (1500 vs 1750) (I will be sending 1st machine back in the next couple of days) but at those speeds I am considering just leaving it in RAID mode for now. I have not had any problems when computer is in RAID mode. Didn't re-install Windows either - just immediately uninstalled all Dell bloatware. (off topic: WTF is dell doing SLOWING DOWN their machines with all of this crap? It makes their PREMIUM machines feel like pieces of crap.)

I would suggest you at least start by installing Samsung NVMe drivers (there's a link somewhere in the XPS 15 notebookreview forums) and seeing if you can solve problems. Also make sure BIOS are updated.

I would love to guidance from Dell techs (my support rep has been friendly and helpful, but clearly doesn't know what she's doing technically) about what the AHCI compatibility of this machine will be. Obviously a big deal for Linux users.
