Dell Latitude E6540 bricked by A11 BIOS (recoverable, but not fixed) - Laptop General Hardware Forum - Laptop - Dell Community

Better be wary of any recent BIOS updates for busines Dells if they mention something to do with Ethernet and UEFI.
A bricked machined can be fixed, but the UEFI network stack must be disabled in BIOS settings. Preferably before any attempt at upgrade to these BIOS versions.
