    Hi there!

Anybody have the same problem? I'm not sure what lately did prevent the OS from detecting the TPM chip, even though it's activated in the BIOS...

    Lately I did:
    - Upgrade XP to Vista Business
    - Installed A09.

Saw a couple posts here and there about the problem and nothing works for me. Basically, one would have to uninstall Dell Security, reboot, clear TPM, turn it off, reboot to Vista, reboot again, turn TPM ON, and reinstall Security Manager. Is doesn't work for me. Every tool (MS and Embassy) doesn't detect the chip. I see a Broadcom TPM under System peripherals in the device manager, but nothing under a supposed security node as I saw on another website.

Not that this is essential for me, but I like my things working right :D .

Any hints to debug this? Looks like I am not alone with this issue, but it seems we all have different solutions...

Oh and sorry to double post; all other security features seem to work - admin password, system password, fingerprints and cards.

Oh well, probably the update from XP to Vista. I am reinstalling from scratch right now and the TPM came back. Now Vista can't see the webcam, but i'll figure it out... It's in the device manager as working, but the software won't install...
