Touchpad doesn't work

    I received my brand new Vostro 1310. I only had 10 minutes to play with it this morning before leaving for work and it seems like the touchpad doesn't work :|

    I'll try installing the drivers tonight... but if this is really a hardware issue I'll be soooooo pissed off :mad: they don't get to do some basic test on their laptop before sending them?!?

    I believe they claim to test if it works but they(dell) is notorious for having flawed systems seap through the product line.

    It does sound like a hardware issue. You have the option of sending it back for a repair or returning it. :wink:
