    i know i made a thread about this ages ago and i didnt know the make of my laptop but what are the tempeture supose to be on a dell latitude c 640 is?

    please reply as i have no fan for my laptop at the moment

    What kind of temps are you getting? I'd venture they'd be pretty high since it's a Pentium 4... They're quoted to take temps up tp 100C, but you should probably stay a fair bit below that. I personally wouldn't run that P4 without a fan, just FYI...

    uhm the temps im geting with the fan off is like

    here is a chart i got :]


    if you look at the attachment ive put on it shows what the temps are at and i dont know what to keep them at does anyone have any pointers?

    That's not necessarily loaded. Try running wPrime or Super Pi for a couple minutes - that will give you a true load temp. Though by all means, if your normal usage patterns keep it around that temperature, you should be fine. I wouldn't let it go over 80C.

    ok thanks for that

    i orderd a cooling pad off ebay but i still havent got it and it looks like the sell has like gone off of ebay i need to know where i can get a cheap cooling pad from
