It certainly won't hurt, but for the E4300, this means fully disassembling the laptop. The heatsink is on the bottom of the motherboard, so the motherboard needs to come out.

I've already disassembled almost completely to change touchpad and fan.
Is it more "criticale" disassemble the motherboard, too ?

It's on the backside, so the base assembly blocks access to it (unless you have a very early model E4300 that has the single access panel on the bottom).

Other than this could it be an option also change the fan to reduce the overall noise and possibly to improve the laptop cooling ?
Has it a (diameter) size of 40 mm ?

I doubt it, cooling of my E4300 seems to be mostly passive. Every once in a while, then fan turns on, so it's probably not going to make a difference.

    Are you sure ?

On my both Dell E4300 the fan gose on as soon as the core temp reach 55 C
It is not much noisy and ... difficult to hear but is however running (As indicated by applications like hw32info or speedfan).

It's not my main system, so it usually never reaches that temperature. Even if you did replace the fan with a better one (assuming it's possible), it might only reduce the amount of time that the fan is on.

I really believe you are trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist. As others have said, the temps are within expected range (and I have an E4300 and concur). Different thermal materials may get you 1-2C, if that and frankly, you risk damaging the 'new' laptop more than improving it. Either live with a machine that is almost certainly within the parameters Dell designed it for, or return it.

In normal conditions the temperatures remain in the above range but when, for example, a virus scan is running the temperatures increase rapidly up to 65/66 C.

Only the chipset temperature reamains rather low (14 C), making no much difference wheter the system is under load or not.
