taking 10 seconds for "properties" box to appear

    Laptop is 7710 listed in my signature

    Before we "Reset this PC" in Windows Recovery I would like to hear if you have ideas or solution to the following:

    When we right click on a file, folder, drive or program in Windows (on desktop or in file explorer etc) and then click on "properties" from that context menu, it takes 10 seconds for the properties dialog box to appear. The SSD performance is great, programs launch quickly, read and writes are fast, and benchmarking the SSD is showing excellent performance for the drives. But the properties dialog box takes long time to appear. Any suggestions before I try to Reset windows (and then reinstall the programs/apps)? Our other 7710 which has same hardware specs and configured near identically does not exhibit this delay.

    Edit: I've tried the following without fixing it:
    - disabled windows search service
    - reregistered windows store apps via powershell command
    Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    The user says it otherwise works okay but sometimes gets delays at other times such as clicking file save in program and it taking some time to display save box. The 'properties' delay is consistantly reproducable on the laptop. I suspect deeper issue which is why I'm thinking of reset the PC.

    Thanks
