I finally replaced the keyboard on my Latitude D800 - the spacebar stopped functioning. The new keyboard works fine, but I think I screwed up putting stuff back together. The back plastic part that needed to come off (the thing with the power buttons, mute, and lights, etc.) has a small bump in front of the four indicator lights around where the right screw is for the keyboard. I can't press it down more, though. Everything else is fully pressed in.

Is there a trick to getting it all down?

EDIT: The screw is in all the way and everything is working fine, there's just a tiny bump centered just left of the screw panel. I've tried pressing around the area and nothing gives.

Take the panel off and try to reseat it. Also see if any locking tabs on the underside are bent.

I've tried a few times with a bump in the same spot each time. One of the locking tabs on the underside of the CP a little to the right of where the bump is is fully broken off, but it's not pushing up on anything.

The new keyboard is also a lot louder per key press than the old one, especially on the left side. Is that normal?
