Ok, im soooo fustrated about this problem. I have a Tmobile Wing Cell phone and i have been trying to figure out the problem that my Dell Latitude D600 has been having. Heres the problem - My cell phone comes with a Sync program that i can use to transfer pictures and emails and stuff like that from my phone to my computer since my phone has Windows mobile 6.1. The problem im having is im getting an error message every time im trying to run the installation CD for my cell phone:

"The getting started CD requires Adobe Flash Player 8.0 or later." Theres a ton of other info but it just bascially tells me to follow the linkg to Adobe and down load the Flash Player. So i do download it, and the CD still doesnt work! I get the same message over and over again. With out this i cant even update my phone (My latittude isnt even recognizing the phone being plugged in in the first place) What could be going on here?

Are you using a new version of flash or Flash 8.0? If you have a newer version, try Flash 8 as mentioned below.

or.... just download your phone's active sync program on the net
the reason that your CD needs the flash player is for the intro program for it
just download the .exe itself from your phone's website

    or

from the CD iteself, don't use the autorun feature. open the CD and explore and look for the setup.exe

In reality the software company of the disk, did not do any research. Yes Adobe does not allow distributing it's plug-in because they don't want a mess where no one has the latest versions or confused between drivers. But some third party software that does just that, bundle a flash application with Flash which doesn't install on the user computer, but simply uses it within the executable is allowed.
As a Flash developer I wonder what where passing in there head.
