ok i dont care about the bad sound of a laptop but it keeps skipping i tried different drivers and they all skip...ive tried the vista drivers and the dell drivers. i have a e6400 with a p8600, wxga+ screen, intel 5100 agn, nvidia 160m gpu with pc card, and a 9 cell. i also upgraded my ram and hd to a 320 gig and 4 gigs if that matters. also i run on vista 32 bit

when the sound skip, does the computer / cpu glitch also? if it does, then it could be a software problem or processing problem

but if it's skipping with no cpu glitch or performance glitch, then it could be a hardware problem

well, since dell doesn't really care to resolve the issue, lots more threads are sure to come in the future.
