Some screen enclosures (?) - what was that exactly?

    Hi all :)

    I got me a M4800. The first device I received had some enclosures (?) in the display, I got it changed and now I have a near flawless laptop.

    Can anybody tell me what these enclosures (?) were?
    To me it looks like the foil of the display came off. It was slightly visible when looking at a white page (some halo around the spot). It was nearly invisible in normal light with screen off.
