    Is there any software I can use to control the fans on my Vostro 1510? (No, i8kfan does not work.)

    Then no there is not unless you want to work very very hard at programming and possibly screw up. Look at cooling central. :wink:

    Odd how I8Kfan doesnt work. Worked for a few 1510 users I know.

    I've used undervolting to never let my fans switch on again.

    Notebook Hardware Control might let you control fan speed. If the updated versions do not have that ability, someone might have made a plug in that would work.
