    Have a dell vostro 3750 incoming this week and i plan on upgrading it to 8 gigs of ram.Does the ram speed really matter when i go to buy it.

    Yeah, just make sure it is DDR3 and you will basically be fine. The laptop will run it at the fastest possible speed between what the RAM and the laptop is capable.
