I've never seen this before but say battery is dying at 10% go to plug in and the screen gets a bit brighter and then starts flickering madly with pastel colors fading in and out. Then it basically won't get back to the desktop and have to hard shut down button. Has happened twice this week. I also notice power connector is a bit flimsy, it's loose when plugged in not sure if this is normal. It is the FHD screen. Any ideas on this? Would it be in event viewer? Never get blue screen just garble.

I'm assuming this is under warranty? You should probably call Dell. Or you could try a clean install to eliminate the chance of a software issue. Maybe a problem with the motherboard, but doesn't seem like a common one.

Not sure, but my LCD cable fails the test you run after rebooting.

And I don't have your problem...

But maybe E6520s have some sort of LCD ribbon problem.

I know this is a little bit dated but I have this same issue with several computers (Latitude 5520) in my environment so I don't think it's that isolated. I've installed the latest Graphics Drivers and BIOS to no avail. Has anyone resolved the problem?
