RGBLED for precision M6400 works great in Linux (Debian Lenny).
It was very easy to install the latest NVIDIA driver, and now it works great. There is also a NVIDIA control panel to change gamma, brightness etc.

The default settings seem to be better in Linux. I was watching a movie, and it looked really good in linux (I just had to change the brightness). In windows, I had to mess around more.
