    I'm about to replace the dvd drive of a Dell e4300 but I don't know hoe remove the "lid" of the old dvd drive an then put it on the new dvd drive before insert it into its own slot.

    Are you talking about the DVD bezel? Just get a flathead screw driver, there should be anywhere from 2-4 tabs, and carefully pry them off and the bezel will come off.

    I've already removed this part form an HP laptop but I've (wrongly) supposed that form manufacturer to manufacturer could be concrete differences about the removing procedure.
