Hi guys. I just bought an external USB Liteon DVD drive which works great with my Vostro 3550, but I'd like to replace the internal drive which doesn't read discs any more. It's a GT32N, by Hitachi I believe. Here's a GT32N from an Acer Aspire. Would it fit my Vostro 3550, ie, would all GT32Ns have standard dimensions to fit different laptops where I can clip on the 3550 bezel?

Alternatively, do you know of any other models of optical drive that fit the 3550, preferably new?

That's a standard slim SATA optical drive. You should be able to use any slim SATA drive, you might just have to swap the bezel off of your current drive to have it match perfectly. (The bezel can be detached easily once the drive is out of the laptop.)

Note, "slim" SATA drives are 12.7mm tall (like this one). "Ultra slim" drives are 9.5mm tall and will be too small.
