    Hi folks,

I have a slight problem with my Vostro 1700. I've cracked the screen and bought a replacement panel. My original screen is an AU Optronics and the one I got from eBay is an LG Philips.

Both screens are the exact same dimensions, but unfortunately the connector on the top of the screen seems to be different! Mine is slightly smaller and the flat cable looks like a small thin circuit board (PCB).

From looking at the LG Philips model, it seems like it's got tiny pins in it, so it probably expects a connector with holes.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get a connector board (flat cable) for the LG Philips screen to fit a Vostro 1700? Or am I stuck with an incompatibile screen?
