Replacement 1400 battery

I've had my Vostro for about 2 years now, and battery life is down to a cool 15 minutes.. I think I am almost ready to replace that battery lol. Unforunately, I can't figure out which replacement to get. I am looking at ebay and am somewhat skeptical about getting an aftermarket battery.. as who knows what types of safety measures there may or may not be. Are there any reccomended ones?
