I'm having trouble connecting via Remote Desktop to my M4400 when the Embassy fingerprint software is installed. Normally, I can log in using Remote Desktop by entering my Windows username and password in the Remote Desktop Connection client window (and this is mandatory when using Network Level Authentication). However, the Embassy fingerprint software then asks me to enter my Windows username password again into its login screen. How can I prevent this double entry requirement? If my username and password are entered or even saved in the Remote Desktop client and are sent when I click the Connect button, I shouldn't have to re-enter them.

I have tried this with various versions of RDP, but most often the version that is built into XP SP2 as standard. My M4400 is running Vista Ultimate SP1 32-bit.

I've also noticed that after connecting via Remote Desktop, when I next log in physically at the laptop, it won't accept fingerprints until I reboot. I get the impression that Dell have not tested the fingerprint reader software with Remote Desktop at all.
