Currently on an SZ and was pondering a replacement as I need a notebook with a digital output because i will be buying a full HD HDTV/monitor soon and would like to use it as a second monitor.

the current E6400 deal is pretty nice. however when browsing around it seems like I could get a refurb red E6400 with 2.26ghz, 1gb ram, 160gb 7200rpm HD, Nvidia 160m, LED WXGA+, webcam/mic for around $950.

Or a brand new black E6400, for about the same price but a smaller and slower HD, and it seems no webcam either.

    which to choose?

Have you checked here? Then apply coupon 5BVZ8PB08J072S for an additional 5% off. That will get you a new E6400 for less than the price of the refurb. Although, no webcam.
