    no thats different, the e1505 came with quickset, the functions it controlled are basically the same as what winxp could handle.

    its different with the latitude.

    I have had my 6500 for a couple of weeks now. I did a clean install of Vista Business 32, then the Dell System Software, Chipset Driver, Wireless adapter driver, and let Vista take care of the rest.

    I haven't found the need to install any of the Control Point software at all, so I'm happy to be without it.

    With this minimal installation, I find that my system is fast, responsive, and stable. The only issue that I have is with the crackling audio, but it appears that no one has a definite solution for this yet. (I'm dual booting with Win7 64 Beta and interestingly enough I don't have any audio problems in Win 7?!)
