This just started happening since I reformatted. I reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate. Now when I connect AC power or disconnect it, the screen goes black for a second or two, then comes back on.

My laptop has never done this before and performance doesn't appear to be affected. I checked in the Power management settings, but can't seem to find anything that relates to this issue.

Could it be a driver issue? Not sure where to look. Laptop is a Dell Latitude E4310.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Most likely, a graphics driver issue. Where did you get your video driver from? Are you using the OEM version, or a generic one from Intel or Windows Update?

I was using the generic chipset drivers from Intel. Installing the driver from Dell fixed it. Thanks!
