:D Just received it today, price is $899
The notebook is still in good condition, about 80% of brand new.
( the screen has lots of prints, can't take off by 3M micro cloth:mad: )

    I owned SONY Z, X300 before.

    pros:
Good desgin! Much better than D series.
fair battery life, about 6 hour with wifi on and light tasks. (6 cell)
Good keyboard with amazing backlit :D ( but not as comfortable as x300:( ,better than Z )
Very fast!!! with normal HDD 7200rpm, it's fast enough. ( very close to x300 with SSD )
Super quite, almost dead slient. ( the fan run once about every 2 min)
Dell control point ( amazing softwares, similar as thinkvantage)

    Cons:
low resolution, (if I pay the brand new price for this, it will be very disappointing)
about 4lbs, about 18-25% heavier than X30x and sony Z
disappointing touch pad and pointing stick, very bad, hard to use and control, no matter how to switch the speed of them.

Overall , this is a good buy! for refurbished.....:D

You mean the actual LCD ? If som it shoulde be considered a defect, and you can ask dell for an exchange,

You can also try wiping the screen by a wet soft cloth.

But congrats on the good deal ! :D

I also think that this is a great laptop but the screen issue is definitely unacceptable for that price.

Yes, the actual screen, when I first received it, it already has some, then i use the micro cloth wipe it, they are still there, likely oil. I will try to ask a exchange. But can I do a exchange for refurbished item??
which number I should call? customer service or technical support?

If its normal smudges by oil, its easily removed, I've done it many times.
Just use a slightly damp soft cloth (eg soft tshirt).
You may also use a very small amount of handsoap, then immediately wipe it down a few times with wet cloth, followed by dry cloth.

It will be easier for you to clean it rather than ask for an exchange. And if its a smudge, it really is cosmetic; and part of refurb'ed laptops.

if you compare to the prices to the competitors it's really the best. I don't know why I wasted so much time after Sony high priced toys. I spent so much time looking for deals on vaio. what a waste.
