I was wondering if the ram that the precisions from m4600-m6800 is all compatible with each other? I know there is slower and faster ram for each system but is mix and match possible? If I have ram from an m6700 would it be compatible with m6600 or m6800? It's pc3l-12800s ddr3. Could any laptop that uses the same ram type, ddr3, use it as well?

You can use ddr3-12800 in Dell M6800 and Dell M6700. The Dell M6600 does not support it.

Fun fact, Dell M6800 also support DDR3-14900 at 1866 MHz.

Maybe not perfectly on topic but my old Precision 3520 would bot boot with my new and shiny Crucial Ballistix 2x32GB which I've bought for my new Precision 7750. Even though previous RAM (2X16) was from Crucial. I suppose that it's because new ones are 1.35V and old ones are 1.2.
