    Does the 9 cell battery occupy more volume than the 6 cell battery? Does it stick out the back like the cooling fans on the asus C90 laptop?

    9 cells > 6 cells. As in, 3 more batteries stacked into a rectangle. It does stick out, check out Dell.com lol.
