Hi, I'm having problems with my Vostro 1400. I tried to open the computer up to clean it but did not open it completely, after I put back together what I took off I tried to boot the computer and a message says "Inverter Cable not detected".

After that the computer runs a little slower, the graphics card is working real bad (and its temp readings are way off, always shows 255c, but processor temp is good), and I have no audio on the computer. That's besides that annoying message with every boot.

Can anyone give me any recommendations, what is the inverter cable and how can I fix it myself? I would REALLY appreciate it.

Personally I would make sure everything is plugged in correctly, as you may have a connection that is not seated correctly or even unplugged completely.
