Hi all. I'm testing Windows 7 on a second HDD on my Precision M65. I can't get the Dell Bluetooth drivers to install. I have downloaded the correct Vista 64 driver from Dell, and tried the Troubleshoot Compatibility option as well.

    Any assistance appreciated, TIA.

in my case, e6400, the bluetooth drivers was installed automatically using microsoft's generic bluetooth adapter

the only bluuetooth driver that windows 7:7068 didn't detect and has no driver was my sony ericsson and nokia phones [when used as an audio and voice] - but it can send and received files between the laptop and the phone. but i can't used the phone as 3g modem

did you come from a clean install or an upgrade from vista?
i suggest you do a clean install INSTEAD of an upgrade from vista

if it was an upgrade, i assume, it will be an upgrade from a previous windows 7 version; if that's the case, blue should install. coz mine did when i was on build 7022

Hi, thanks for the reply. It was a clean install. Computers are bizarre; I was trying to install biometric software, went to device manager and removed a failed driver the said BlueCore. Rebooted and W7 installed the correct drivers immediately, INCLUDING A2DP Bluetooth Stereo. I am now almost happy... Just need to get biometrics working, then I'll buy another HDD and start using W7 as primary.

    Thanks Again.
