This is probably the first time i have had several issues with an Intel wifi card, probably more to do with the drivers.

The driver version obtained from the Dell site for M4800 was v 16.1.3.1. The wifi adapter connected to my 300N Router (TL-MR3420) showing 144 Mbps. After every hour or so the speed would suddenly drop to 11 Mbps.

I spent a day troubleshooting and finally went to the intel site and got driver v 16.6. This seems to have resolved the drop to 11 Mbps issue but i was still getting connected at 144 Mbps.

A search did not find anything relevant regarding 144 vs 300 Mbps connectivity issue but i found this article (https://communities.intel.com/thread/44899?start=45&tstart=0) stating a new driver version (v16.8) is available for AC 7260 under drivers for Dell XPS.

I have updated to version 16.8 as well but I am still unable to get 300 Mbps connectivity to the router.

Am i missing something here? Does anyone else have a similar issue?
