    Hi,
    after reading some post about the better display for the WXGA+ on the M4400, I could hardly belief that someone that only saw the Samsung screen claims the LG screen is the worse one. In the past the LG screen were the better ones. Even in the other notebooks of the E-Series the LGs are the better screens, so I went and searched someone with the a M4400 but a different screen manufacturer. Seeing is believing, let me hear what you think;

    Samsung (on the left) or LG (on the right)
    :D

    I'm sorry, just fixed the first post.
    Samsung is the left one.

    ;)

    bit hard to judge though but the colors on the right one seem a bit more vibrant? Can't really see the graininess....what was your view on it?

    The LG is a bit whiter and looks therefor a little bit brighter. The LG's contrast is better but the Samsung's color looks a bit more natural. It's hard to say which one is better !! I don't see any grainyness on the LG screen (wasn't LG always the better screen in the past? I'm confused why they should now have a grainy screen)

    After seen both screens I would say Dell learned from the past and uses only fine displays. It would be interessting to see some pics of people claiming they have grainy screens! I assume they see some ghosts ;)

    I think the one on the right looks brighter and more vibrant, as others have said. And if you can't see the graininess on the LG, then you should be happy! I found it quite distracting on my screen.

    Very hard to tell from pictures but seems very little difference apart from the LG looking a bit brighter....I've had two identical model samsungs [not M4400] that have shown a bigger difference than those shots,and can't say I prefer one over the other from what I can see,but then I've never really noticed graininess on any notebook.
